Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI)
BPI is the absolute standard in U.S. composting. BPI and the US Composting Council (USCC) use the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) specifications to certify products as compostable.
American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM)
In order for a product to be BPI certified it must meet a rigorous set of ASTM requirements. EcoOrchards products fall into two categories as specified by ASTM: ASTM D6400 and ASTM D6868.
